Billing
Plans and terms, how to change your card, download invoices, or cancel - and exactly what happens if you do.
Billing lives under Billing in the left sidebar of your workspace. Workspace admins can see and change it; other members cannot.
Plans and terms
Every paid plan is offered on three terms, and the term is what you are really choosing:
- Monthly - month to month, no commitment. Carries a small flexibility premium.
- Annual - a 12-month commitment billed monthly. The price shown is the monthly amount, not the yearly total.
- Prepay a year - the year paid up front, priced as two months free.
Compliance is not a one-quarter project, so the annual term is the one most teams land on: it is easy to start and it keeps you past the audit you bought us for.
Manage your own billing
Manage billing on your plan card opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can:
- update the card on file
- download every past invoice
- update your billing email, address, or tax ID
- cancel
You do not need to email us for any of it. If your card is about to expire, this is the page to fix it on - and if a payment has already failed, the same button reads Update payment method and restores your workspace as soon as the card goes through.
If a payment fails
A workspace whose payment has lapsed goes read-only: you keep full access to read everything - controls, evidence, policies, your Trust Center stays up - but changes are blocked until billing is current. Nothing is deleted and nothing is hidden.
If you cancel
You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. A prepaid year runs to the end of that year; a monthly plan runs to the end of that month. There are no refunds, and equally there is no cutting you off early for time you have already bought.
Before you go, the Billing page tells you what your workspace specifically would lose, rather than a generic list. Two of them are public and easy to forget:
- Your Trust Center stops being published. Anyone you have shared that link with can no longer open it.
- A custom domain stops resolving. If you pointed
trust.yourcompany.comat Joopler, remember to remove that CNAME record at your DNS provider, or the hostname will point at nothing.
Take your data with you first. The Billing page links to a full export of your controls, policies, and signed evidence. It is yours to keep, and it stays independently verifiable after you leave - the signatures do not depend on us still being your vendor.
You can come back whenever you are ready; your workspace is here.
Comped and trial workspaces
A trial or a comped workspace has no card on file and therefore nothing to manage, so the billing-management button is not shown rather than offered and then refused.
